Riportiamo la missiva del Presidente dell'ADES inviata al sito internet il 28 agosto 2002 che precisa il comportamente dell'associazione nei confronti della galassia dei partiti e della politica in generale.
We are reporting the ADES President message to our Internet Site on 28 August 2002 in which he specifies the behavior of the association towards the galaxy of political parties and politics in general.

Liberi politicamente e apartitici! E' questa una delle sostanziali differenze fra l'ADES e molte organizzazioni giuliano-dalmate,
è questa una delle novità a cui s'ispira l'azione generale del nostro sodalizio.
Rifuggiamo infatti dalla apartiticità e apoliticità integrale.
Con l'apartiticità e l'apoliticità integrale, i detrattori delle istanze giuliano-dalmate,
avevano individuato uno strumento formidabile per eliminare nelle nostre forze, qualsiasi
reale istanza, qualsiasi leggittima richiesta anche se addirittura supportata da numerosi
cittadini italiani.
Strumento formidabile ma anche trappola mortale, quindi, per tutta la nostra comunità,
riunita o fuori dalle associazioni, enti, circoli ed anche per tutti quegli italiani mossi da
sentimenti profondi e consolidatisi nei decenni.
Politically free and no party affiliation! This is one of the substantial differences between the ADES and many Julian-Dalmatian organizations; this is one of the novelties to which the general action of our association is inspired.
In fact we take refuge from political parties and integral politic.
With parties and integral politic support, the detractors of the Julian-Dalmatian appeals, had individualized a formidable tool to eliminate in our strengths, any real appeal, any legitimate application even when supported by numerous Italian citizens.
Formidable tool but also deadly trap, therefore, for all of our community, reunited or out of the associations, entities, clubs and also for all that Italians moved by deep feelings consolidated in the decades.
Liberi politicamente! L'ADES non vuole cadere nello stesso "errore" (altrimenti quale sarebbe il contributo verso la nostra gente? verso gli ideali che intendiamo rappresentare?) ma adoperarsi affinché si possa riacquisire quella dignità
che ci stata tolta, prima con la violenza rubata, poi con l'inganno dell'apartiticità e apoliticità integrale
scippata nuovamente.
Rivendichiamo la nostra libertà ad esprimere eventuali condivisioni a progetti
politici che possiamo condividere, da qualsiasi uomo politico essa vengano, non vogliamo
rifiutare con riluttanza un progetto solo perché è stata firmato da un uomo di destra o chissà quale altro partito; lo accoglieremo solo in quanto lo giudicheremo valido ed in linea con
i nostri scopi, importante è che esso rispetti e sia coerente con la nostra carta statutaria.
Free politically! ADES does not wish to fall in the same "error" (otherwise which contribution would that be for our people? toward the ideal that we intend to represent?) but to dedicate ourselves so that we may regain that dignity that was removed from us, first stolen by violence, then with the deception of party affiliations and again snatched by integral politic.
We claim our liberty to express possible agreement to political projects that we can share, from any political man it may come, we don't want to refuse with reluctance a project only because has been supported by a man from the Right or who knows what other party; we will welcome it only in how much we will judge its validity and is in line with our purposes, important it is that it respects and is consistent with our statutory paper.
Apartitici! Al contempo non vogliamo essere "servi" di alcun partito. L'ADES rivendica
per sé la libertà al proprio spirito d'iniziativa, così come per ogni socio, delegato, dirigente la libertà a svolgere qualsivoglia attività politica, in quanto rientra nell'ambito delle sue scelte personali.
E qui puntiamo il dito agli errori in cui molte associazioni "sorelle" cadono:
come possono pensare di avere un ruolo autorevole e perciò davvero autenticamente rispettato se esse stesse pongono alla propria attività limiti su limiti: il rischio infatti della apartiticità e apoliticità integrale, li pone in un "strada senza uscita" in molti casi, dove la propria attività può essere semplicemente di tipo "museale", avendo il ruolo di guardiani di un patrimonio che invece deve essere promosso, divulgato e verso il quale molti italiani devono riappropriarsi del valore intrinseco perché facente parte dell'identità nazionale; oppure ad iniziative il cui risultato è quello di agire entro l'ambito ed i confini così stabiliti da altri, secondo la linea di un'attività "politicamente corretta", che ben si guarda da contraddire gli amministratori del pensiero unico che deve essere sempre e rigorosamente uno solo.
No party affiliation! In the same time we don't want to be "servants" to any party. The ADES claim for itself the liberty to its own spirit of initiative, as for every member, delegated, executive, the liberty to follow any political activity, in as much it is within its personal choices.
And here we point our finger to the errors in which many "sisters" associations fall: how they can think on having an authoritative role and therefore indeed authentically respected if themselves set to their own activity limit after limits: the risk in fact of the party identification and integral politic, sets them on a "road without exit" in many cases, where their own activity can simply be a "museum" type, having the role of keepers of a patrimony that instead must be promoted, divulged and of which many Italians should take possession of its intrinsic value because of being part of the national identity; or to initiatives whose result is to act within the circle and the confinements established by others, according to the line of an activity "politically correct", that is careful to contradict the administrators of the unique thought that it has to be always and rigorously the only one.
L'ADES vuole invece favorire la pluralità delle idee, vuole stimolare ogni energia a favore delle tante istanze giuliano-dalmate, senza escluderne nessuna e men che meno inibirne alcuna, questo è stato e sarà il nostro percorso.
Siamo certi che avremo molti avversari e più la nostra forza crescerà più questi useranno contro di noi qualsiasi iniziativa per denigrarci, per deleggittimarci.
Ma noi proseguiremo perché siamo convinti di essere dalla parte della verità e che il nostro è un cammino di libertà!
The ADES instead wants to favor the plurality of ideas, to stimulate every energy for the so many Julian-Dalmatian appeals, without excluding any and certainly not to inhibit any, this has been and it will be our ways. We are certain that we will have many adversaries and more our strength will grow more of these will use against us any initiative to denigrate us and negate us legitimacy.
But we will continue because we are convinced to be on the side of truth and that ours is a walk of liberty!
