December 7 saturday 2002 in Trieste a delegation of the ADES, composed by the President Pietro Luigi Crasti, vice president attorney. Giovanni Adami, the executive (and President of Adriatic Continuity) Dino Giacca, from the Dr. Flavia Maraston, Ferruccio Maraston, from the ADES representative for Rovigo Vittorio Baccara, to the person responsible of the presidency reception office Livia Pisetta, met the Minister of the Italians abroad Hon. Mirko Tremaglia (in the photo farther up) and the Deputy from Trieste Hon. Roberto Menia (in the lower photo).
President Crasti immediately entered the main subject of the meeting, expressing to the the Minister the wish to bring the position of the ADES to a higher levels of the government, remembering that the positions of the association are in the mode of the most ancient principles and appeals, and therefore in the continuity that have inspired for a long time the historical associations of the julian-dalmatian Exiles.

Il Presidente ha inoltre omaggiato il Ministro Tremaglia di una copia de "Venezia-Giulia e Dalmazia - Sommario storico" curato dal Dr. Montani, edito dall’ADES in versione bilingue, italiano/inglese; rispondendo con tale gesto ed affermativamente alla domanda del Ministro, se l’ADES avesse rapporti con la Comunità degli Italiani in Istria, Fiume e Dalmazia; Crasti ha anche aggiunto che la volontà dell’ADES è quella di intensificare tali rapporti e di stabilendone di nuovi con tutte le Comunità italiane sparse nei cinque continenti, rimarcando il fatto che, il libro consegnato, proprio per il carattere bilingue italiano/inglese, intende andare in questa direzione. Il Ministro Tremaglia ha anche aggiunto che libri del genere meriterebbero il patrocinio del Suo Ministero, cosa che Crasti ha gradito soprattutto per l’apprezzamento in tal modo dimostrato dal Ministro verso l’opera svolta dall’ADES. Crasti ha comunque offerto la disponibilità del sodalizio a presentare la pubblicazione laddove fosse possibile e su indicazione del Ministero.

The President has also gave Minister Tremaglia a copy of "Venezia Giulia and Dalmatia - Historical summary" edited by Dr. Montana and ADES in bilingual version, italian/english; answering with such gesture and affirmatively to the question of the Minister, if the ADES had relationships with the Italians Community in Istria, Fiume and Dalmatia; Crasti also added that the wish of the ADES is to intensify such relationships and of establishing new ones with all the Italian Communities in the five continents, observing the fact that, the delivered book, really for the bilingual character italian/english, intends to go on this direction. Minister Tremaglia has also added that books of this kind deserve the patronage of His Office, thing that Crasti was pleased above all for the appreciation in such way shown by the Minister toward the work done by ADES. Crasti however offered the availability of the association to introduce the publication whereas it was possible and on indication of the Office.

Sono stati affrontati inoltre questioni legate alla vita interna dell’associazionismo giuliano-dalmata ed in particolare il Ministro è rimasto colpito per alcuni passaggi dove il Presidente dell’ADES amaramente lo informava di polemiche sterili e dannose che talvolta si verificano.
L'On. Menia, Discendente di Esuli istriani fuggiti alle violenze delle truppe di Tito nell'immediato dopoguerra, ha in particolar modo ribadito la necessità di impostare un nuova politica sulle questioni giuliano-dalmate riconoscendo che l’impegno non è privo di difficoltà ma apprezzando la presenza, orami consolidata, dell’ADES, come importante elemento di testimonianza e continuità generazionale.
Il saluto è avvenuto all’insegna dell’auspicio di futuri e proficui rapporti.

Was also confronted other matters tight to the life of the julian-dalmatians associanism and particularly the Minister was struck by some passages where the President of the ADES bitterly informed him about the sterile and harmful polemics that sometimes are verified.
The Hon. Menia, descendent of Exiled istrians that escaped the violence of Tito's troops in the immediate postwar period, has in particular way confirmed the necessity to plan a new politics on the julian-dalmatian matters recognizing that the commitment is not deprived of difficulty but appreciating the presence, already consolidated, of ADES, as important element of testimony and generational continuity.
The departure was under the auspice sign of a future and profitable relationships.
